HOW TO SIGN UP
When you open mediapool.worldaquatics.com, it will look like the below. Click on the first tab on the menu to Register:
To register, you will need to provide:
- - Email address
- - Password
- - Company/Federation
- - First Name
- - Surname
- - User Type
The user type will affect what you can see and download; if you have questions about this, please contact web@worldaquatics.com
Finally, you can pick a sport, this is not necessary, but is encouraged to fill out.
Once your access has been approved you will receive a welcome email.
SEARCH & DOWNLOAD PHOTOS
When you open Media Pool, you will see the below image:
To find photos you can:
- · Search using specific keywords through "search archive"
- · Click on the relevant tab on the menu (Photos)
- · Click on specific events or themed collections from the Home Page.
Photos archive view would look similar to below:
If you wish to narrow down your search, you can use the Filter & Sort section on the left. This can also be useful if you are looking for Images from a specific sport, year, competition, event, session, and so on. Depending on the metadata added to the files, you can also search for specifics through the search bar, for example, by typing in the athlete's name.
Downloading Photos (Single)
Once you click on a photo, you will see options on the right side/below the image to Download Media:
Additionally, you can right-click on the image from the general view and there will be an option to Download Media.
Downloading Photos (Multiple)
You also have the option to download multiple photos. Click on the top-left of the photo and you will see a faded tick. Once you have clicked this the image will turn blue indicating it has been selected:
Once you have selected all images you wish to download, click on the download icon on the top-right corner of your screen and choose the preferred format.
Creating Collection (Photos)
You can create a photo collection, so, you can easily access specific photos in the future. To add a photo to a collection, right-click over a photo and choose Add to collection.
You will then see the below. Create a new collection or choose to add into the existing ones (once they are created).
Name your collection and click on Create. Once added, it will appear in the Notifications (bell icon on the right side of the menu), or you can see your collections by clicking on the Collections tab on the menu.
SEARCH & DOWNLOAD VIDEOS
When you open Media Pool you will see the below:
To find videos you can:
- · Search using specific keywords through "search archive" (both photos and videos will appear, use Media type filter for Video)
- · Click on the relevant tab on the menu (Videos)
- · Click on specific events or themed collections from the Home Page (both photos and videos will appear, use Media type filter for Video)
All events have metadata, so, you can use the search engine or Filter & Sort to narrow down your search on relevant videos based on sport, competition, year, or athlete. Example below:
Downloading Videos
Depending on your user type and access, you might be able to download videos, create and download clips, add videos/clips to the collection, and download them once approved by World Aquatics.
Download Video (by adding it to the collection)
Depending on your access, once you click on the video, you will see the Add to collection option.
You will then need to create a collection, filling in the below details or choose from existing collection, once it is created.
Once your collection is approved by World Aquatics, you will be able to download videos from Your Orders that can be found via My Account tab from the menu.
Downloading Clips
If you just want to download a specific clip (and your role allows you to create clips), then you will need to use the clipping tool, which can be found on the right-bottom corner of each video:
The clipping tool, as the example below, allows you to create single or multiple clips from one video.
Depending on your user type and access, you can either Add clip to collection or Order clip for download.
Once the Order is placed or the collection approved by World Aquatics, the clips will appear in Notifications and can be accessed to download via Your Orders from the My Account tab found on the menu.
